MY VENUE HAS A COORDINATOR, WHY DO I NEED TO HIRE AN OUTSIDE PLANNER? 


A full service wedding planner will begin working with you following your engagement through the execution of your special day. They will work with you on setting a budget, finding your venue, booking your vendors as well as design of ceremony, cocktail hour and reception! A full service planner will also schedule and attend vendor calls and meetings with you. As well as share knowledge through the process on why things cost what they cost, or inform you why certain items are necessary and note those that aren't. During the wedding weekend they run the show, they manage all of your vendors and assist the venue during set up to be sure it's exactly what you as the couple envisioned. The Planner makes sure that all vendors are provided with detailed timelines and floor plans prior to arriving on site so they know what is expected and where they need to be. They are always one step ahead in assisting you while also being a familiar face to direct the bridal party. Overall they help bring your dream to reality from big picture to tiny details so nothing is forgotten and there are no surprises (that you are aware of) on your wedding day! 

VS a Venue Coordinator whose primary job is to make sure that the venue is in the proper condition for your event. They make sure your layout is set according to plan, show the vendors the room upon arrival, at times assist in setting up decor that you brought in and focus on f&b if that is in-house.

ARE YOU THE ONLY ONE ONSITE FROM YOUR TEAM OR DO YOU HAVE AN ASSISTANT? 

This changes depending on the details of your specific wedding and what is required. For weddings with more than 100 guests or weddings that are tented without a venues team to help support a second or possibly third person will be brought on. The assistant is brought on by Emerald Events and are trusted extensions of our team!


HOW MANY HOURS ARE YOU ONSITE ON MY WEDDING DAY?


 We typically are the first to show up (other than your lovely H&M team) and the last to leave at the end of the night so you can live in the moment on your special day!


DO YOU ONLY OFFER FULL SERVICE WEDDING PLANNING PACKAGES?

Yes and no! We at Emerald Events are a Full Service Wedding Planning and Design Company, this is what we are truly passionate about. However, we understand that this isn’t for everyone. Therefore, we do offer Partial Planning and Design Specific Packages. You can find more information on the Services page.

Do you offer an all inclusive wedding weekend package?

 Absolutely! If you are looking to host your guests for a full wedding weekend we totally can plan and execute everything related, including but not limited to, your rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, welcome party, after party and brunch. With this package you don't need to worry about whether something is or isn’t included, because it truly is ALL inclusive. We are yours, fully and completely, from the day that we begin working together until the last guest departs your wedding weekend!
