After an extremely hot July here in New England, Alex and Steve had luck on their side on their wedding day! It was a sunny summer day, with no humidity, the perfect setting for their Garden Soiree at Glen Magna Farms in Danvers, MA!
Alex and Steve had been dating for 4 years, and newly engaged when I met them. Their love story was one you don’t hear often, they met through their jobs and did long distance for quite some time until moving to Boston!
With many guests coming from out of state, Alex and Steve knew they wanted to throw a wedding that showed their guests what summertime in Massachusetts looked like! This led them to wanting an outdoor tented wedding, and they liked the idea of hosting this at a historic property. We toured many venues together before landing on Glen Magna Farms, which was the perfect fit! Glen Magna Farms is a historic country estate and is currently owned by the Danvers Historical Society.
The gardens at this venue were unreal and in full bloom when we toured in July. When designing the look and feel of their wedding we decided to play into the colors that the property already had, one of the main being purple, a beautiful shade of mauve. For this wedding we sourced a lot of our table top items like table runners, napkins, candles, etc. through Amazon and Hobby Lobby to create a fully custom look!
Alex and Steve, thank you both for allowing me to be a part of your day and thank you for trusting me and choosing Emerald Events!
